Boots, all under a $100!

4 Nov

Continuing with the theme of earlier this week and how to look great on a budget. I researched some great boots and they are all under a $100.  Since all of these boots are more reasonably priced, there is no need to choose just one style for this season. You can choose many!!! A few of these boots are highly versatile though. Boots # 2,6 and 8 could be worn with flared jeans, wide leg pants or paired with a skirt.  Talk about bang for your buck!

Native Inspirations

16 Sep

The Native inspired prints and colors trend for fall is so alluring with the rich textures, intricate patterns, and exquisite details . I love the native prints manipulated into modern silhouettes. The luxurious patterns and comfortable materials make this style such a viable option for Fall. Pieces that can provide comfort and luxe in colder temperatures, what else can you want?  One of the qualities that attracts me most to this style is the colors, the contrast of dark and light with a pop of color thrown into the pattern. Sometimes it isn’t necessary to copy a trend exactly, but to analyze and take away from it something that you can relate into your wardrobe. If there were only thing to take away from this trend, it could be to wear an electric blue against a camel and black outfit or wear fringe boots with a patterned mini skirt and dark tights.

Jewel Tones and Luxe Fabrics

17 Aug

The gloomy weather that we had the past few days had me thinking of Fall, crisper days and layering pieces. This Fall I am turning to rich jewel and luxe fabrics and textures to fill my closet. Almost every Fall jewel tones are shown, but this year they seem more intriquing, vibrant and alluring. I think the mix of rich colors against interesting fabrics makes for a fascinating outfit. If the trend of metallic snakeskin or wearing a jewel tone doesn’t seem quite you, then you can start by warming up to the trend with an accessory, shoe or even wear a jewel shade on your nails.

Feminine Touches

20 Apr

A little lace here, a little chiffon fabric there, some blush color here – sometimes all it takes to feel feminine is integrating some fabrics and colors that exude ladylike charisma.  Neutral tones mixed with feminine silhouettes always equate femininity, they go hand-in-hand and are a natural accompaniment to each other. If you add some lace detailing into the mix, it automatically throws the piece into the ultra-feminine category. I personally love the tap shorts shown below (# 2), they are a nod to boudoir-esque attire, with out being overkill. The gentle lace detailing is enough to make these shorts sexy and adorably appropriate to wear in public.
